36 bicycles were purchased through fundraising efforts in the UK and Germany for a fantastic and dedicated group of TB volunteer workers in remote rural area of Zambia. Volunteers for St Francis Hospital walk miles each day to ensure patients get their medication daily, check on the health of patients and their families, as well as educate community groups about TB. A bike makes all the difference to TB control in a country ravaged by the disease. Here is one of the volunteers, Kennedy, proudly at work on his new bike.
